I released my debut recording in the summer of 2007. Rapid Approach contains the first Bach solo Sonata, in g minor, the Bartok Solo Sonata, and four short pieces by Augusta Read Thomas for solo violin.
I am lucky to know Jeremy Young, who founded Bacchanale Records to make this disc. He was not only the sole engineer for the recording, but the editor, producer and photographer as well. I handled the design and layout. Stephen Seleny and Augusta provided program notes. And finally, both Jeremy and I were lucky to have our wives, Heather Hobbs and Akiko Tarumoto, present at the sessions as assistant producers.
It was a great pleasure to make this recording, and I wish Jeremy the best with future projects.
